2nd Common Mistake Burial Insurance Buyers Make

Keep Shopping Around…for a better deal.

Full disclosure. I do believe that an individual should not be pressured into buying something. Also, that it’s important to be an educated consumer and shopping around maybe the way to help you to better understand what the market is like and what options and opportunities you may have in this area.

But what I’m referencing in this common mistake is really more about the person who is nervous or apprehensive to pull the trigger.

I know people who like to go window shopping for dresses, suits, jewelry, but I don’t know too many people who like to go window shopping for burial insurance or final expense insurance.

When you are in the market. there are some best practice question to consider when speaking with a burial insurance professional. For example how many burial insurance programs do you have access to? Do you have the ability to provide level, greeted, guaranteed issue burial insurance? are you able to help someone with_________________  (name the medical condition or conditions. Cuz you don’t want to waste your time with someone who can’t help you) . Even though there are other questions to ask, one more to consider is do you offer the type of policies where are the premium, what I pay monthly, is guaranteed never to go up as long as I keep making my payments?

Now, there’s nothing wrong with trusting your gut if you feel that the professional is a little too salesy or pushing you too the point where you may be outside of your comfort zone. But this day will come for you as it will for all of us. When it will come no one really knows it. That’s why we try to do the responsible thing and get it done sooner rather than later.
